Small STEPS BIG IMPACT

Our Approach

Our approach emphasizes the importance of doing the right thing in the right place and at the right time

This means being aware of our surroundings and understanding the needs of those around us. In all circumstances, we strive to make choices that positively impact others. By acting with care and thoughtfulness, we also create better relationships and foster a supportive environment. Our aim is to be considerate and proactive, ensuring that our actions align with our values and the needs of those around us.

Our Projects In 2024

we aim to uplift and empower
individuals during difficult times

Our projects aim to create a brighter future through quality education and youth scholarships. In addition to providing quality education, our relief activities play a crucial role in supporting those in need. Through our efforts, we aim to uplift and empower individuals during difficult times while fostering resilience and unity.

Enhancing Children’s Access to Quality Education

Our work is grounded in the belief that all children have a right to a quality education, that access to quality education opens the door to jobs, resources, and skills that help a person not only survive but also thrive. This is why access to quality education is a globally recognized solution to poverty. Education helps to remedy many of the other issues that can keep people, families, and even whole communities vulnerable to the cycle of poverty.

Schools

The project focuses on improving education for Syrian children in Lebanon, covering both Lebanese and Syrian curricula. It aims to provide free access to pre-primary, primary, intermediate, and secondary education. By reaching at least 1,401 children—comprising 662 boys and 739 girls—the program ensures equal opportunities for both genders to learn and grow. Education is vital for children’s futures, and this initiative seeks to break down barriers that prevent them from attending school, providing them with a better chance at a brighter future.

Universities and Vocational Centers

As part of TERRA’s commitment to providing various educational services to Syrian children and youth in need, TERRA has undertaken another educational project in the Bekaa region with the primary goal of providing full scholarships for Syrian students to help them complete their university and vocational studies in various fields. In total, the program supports 33 students (31 university students and 2 vocational students) who will study in the following fields: Nursing, Accounting, Computer Science, Garden Curriculum, Graphic Design, Engineering, Pharmacy, Business Management, Translation.

Grade 7 Students

The English Language Unit has recently kicked off an exciting new program called the Mentorship Initiative, in partnership with McKinsey. This initiative aims to connect students with experienced professionals who can guide them on their language learning journey. By pairing learners with mentors, participants can gain valuable insights and practical skills that will enhance their understanding of English. The program focuses on building confidence in communication, critical thinking, and career development, making it a great opportunity for those looking to improve their language skills and professional prospects.

Grades 9, 12 and University Students

The program is designed to help participants develop key skills and the confidence to be strong, caring leaders in their communities. It combines practical job skills with techniques for personal growth to create a well-rounded experience. Participants learn to communicate effectively with others, understand different perspectives, and inspire those around them. By focusing on empathy and leadership, the program encourages connections within communities, fostering a stronger sense of togetherness and collaboration among all involved.

Developing Key Skills for Women and Youth

Empowerment is a key aspect of this program, as it encourages participants to take charge of their futures. Participants will learn to overcome obstacles, handle setbacks, and embrace new opportunities. This empowerment fosters a positive mindset, enabling them to believe in their abilities and push forward. With the knowledge they gain, individuals will feel ready to face the real world and pursue their dreams with determination.

Basic Assistance Program

TERRA has made a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable families in the region, specifically focusing on Syrian, Lebanese, and Palestinian communities. In its intervention efforts, TERRA successfully distributed essential food parcels to families in need. These parcels often contain staple items like rice, lentils, and cooking oil, ensuring that families have access to basic nutrition. Additionally, the organization provided both conditional and unconditional cash assistance, allowing families the flexibility to address their most pressing needs, whether they be for food, rent, or medical expenses. In general, a total of 385 vulnerable families from Syrian, Lebanese, and Palestinian communities benefited from TERRA’s basic assistance program for the year 2023-2024.
